All About Ms. Chesla
Hello! I am excited to work with you and your students again this year! I was a classroom teacher for six years prior to moving into the GT teacher role during the 2019-2020 school year. This is my fifth year at Teller, and this year I will be splitting my time between the GT role and teaching 4th grade literacy. I earned my BA in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado, and I have a MAE in Curriculum and Instruction and a MAE in Gifted and Talented Special Education. When I am not working with my incredible kids at school, I love to read, attend concerts, cook, exercise, and go to movies.
We all know that things are going to look different this year with remote learning and the uncertainty around COVID-19. Please know I will continue to do everything I can to ensure your gifted learners' needs are being met, and I am here to support you and your students in any way I can!
Spring Semester Update: Due to staffing shortages, I will be teaching 4th grade literacy full time starting in January. This means all GT services will be provided by classroom teachers through the end of the school year.
